About equivalent drop test for packaged freight (2)


Conventional equivalent drop theory has been appling the dynamic assumption that package freight is the single degree of freedom system(SDOF).
However, the actual packaged freight has not the perfect linear characteristics, displecement, velocity and acceleration.
Therefore, there are not a little error between conventional theory and actual test.

Now, the new theory is proposed to improve the accuracy of both 2 tests equivalence that applied SDOF with dashpot and friction.
In this paper, the correcting coefficient of velocity change on shock table is deduced and confirmed this theory by experiments shock test and free fall test(cushion tester) to the corregated board cushion material.
